Rating by category:
The location was good and the hotel staff was helpful
The hotel beds were vey bad
Used as a base to sleep in.
Size of the room - ver small.
Hotel stuff we liked as they provided the information needed very professionally, quickly and more we would like to mention the hospitality of the personnel
The was a bathroom equipment in a bad condition.
The Hotel staff were exceptional, and the location was pretty central.
The room did not have air conditioning and the rooms facing the street can be a little noisy at times.
Lovely hotel for weekend break with friendly staff.
Really liked the hotel but unfortunately the quickest route to La Rambles from the hotel was through a red light area. And although we were told it was ok to pass through during the day rather than at night, I still found that during the day prostitutes and other suspicious looking people could be found roaming around this very 'down and out' area, which I found quite disturbing.
Staff was good, location from port and city
Friendly stuff, free wireless internet, 2 minutes walkins distance from subways 10 minutes from les ramblas.
I reserved a room for three people they gave us a room for two people with an extra bed in it so the room was extremly small.
Staff were fantastic; friendly, funny, very polite, helpful and informative. The hotel is a 2 minute walk from the Metro which takes you to Montjuic. From there you can ride the cable car up to the Castle. Can you imagine that within about 10 minutes of leaving your room you can be in the cafe at Foundation Joan Miro having a coffee? It is excellently located for the modern museum of art, the shopping in the Gothic quarter and Las Rambla, and all public transport. The rooms are very spacious with chairs. I was on holidays but it would be a great choice for a business stay.
The hotel is located next to a square where during the day older folks play boule in a relaxed and elegant way. During the night homeless people drink and shout at each other. If you need to sleep with the window open you will not be able to avoid hearing this. I stayed on both sides of the hotel at the front and it woke me up (and worried me that there are homeless people who did not seem to be getting some help). There is no tea or coffee making in the room. Breakfast is very expensive when just across the road you can have delicious potato omelette and coffee for around 5 euros (go to the place on the corner). But the cafes do not open unitl 8.30. The bed in the first room was hard and full of springs. It reminded me of an old bed in my grandparents house (so much so that I dreamed o my grandparents all night). The second bed was fabulous by comparison.
Close to the main attractions and metro station
The room is very small and not very clean for a 4 stars hotel. You can have breakfast much cheaper at restaurants around the hotel.
It is very near the metro station and only a couple of stops to the centre. Also the staff; at all times they could not have been more courteous or helpful. They were fantastic.
Unfortunately the hotel seems to be on the edge of a "dodgy" area, so I would advise when leaving it to go out in the evening, to always turn left and not right!
Good location approx 10 mins from las ramblas and 2 mins from the nearest metro stop. Arrived late and were met with very friendly english speaking hotel staff. We were upgraded to a suite room and provided with very useful information on the city (maps, tourist info etc).
The location was in close vicinity to the port and las ramblas, but might not be safe for late night ventures as the neighborhood looks a bit seedy towards the late evenings. The spa center and solarium with the jacuzzi is a nice bonus, but the staff does not promote it as we've only discovered it ourselves thru their website. Having a business center was also convenient whenever it wasn't broken down.
Did not have an enjoyable time at this hotel. Found thenataff unfriendly and unwilling to help, esp after we got robbed our 2nd day in las ramblas. The walking distance to most area wasn't bad and there's also a metro and bus stop nearby. Do not book breakfast as there are many inexpensive cafes nearby. Housekeeping keeps forgetting to restock toiletries and once didn't clean the tub after we returned from the beach. The rooms were tiny and the family room was nothing but an extra pull out cot at the corner. The 12" TV was pathetic with no channels to watch anyways. I'd stay elsewhere next time, definitely not a 4 star with such poor service.
I liked the very freindly reception staff. Each interaction was positive and helpful. I would stay there again.
room size was small but for a city trip acceptable.
we went to hotel for our first wedding anniversary.the hotel was really very close to city centre and metro station.it was very easy to go everywhere that we would like to visit.the hotel staff were very friendly.
we went Barcelona for our first wedding anniversary ;although I mentioned; it is not remembered :(
You have easy access to the Metro and can walk to Las Ramblas. Lots of restaurants close to the Hotel. The rooms were small, but comfortable. It was clean and everything worked. The Guest Desk provided us with good information and spoke English well.
We had flown in from Canada on an overnight flight and the Hotel would not give us access to even 1 room for our Group to freshen up. We had to wait till 4:00 pm.
